As we begin to breath in fresh morning air, we welcome lovely April with arms wide open. The leaves are falling, the challenge to even dare for a toe touch in the ocean is becoming greater and the determination of breeze insisting on moving every hair strand out of place possible is still an unresolved problem.

Autumn follows us, and right about now nothing sounds better than indulging in a little something special to keep our hearts happy and our tastebuds overjoyed! Which brings us to this weeks Creatives Club member, Sarah Glover.

Here at Element Eden we are excited to have a chat to the talented and fresh faced beauty of Bondi Bikkies! This girl has something real good going on, and it involves cookies… what’s not to love already!?

What was once a means to capture the heart of a cute surfer boy at age 13 with some home baked kiss cookies, has turned into something much more. This passionate business woman is definitely onto something and knows how to make a mean cookie! Sarah is taking her baking to a whole new level, and we’re loving it!

I mean who doesn’t love freshly baked, hand crafted cookies? you’d surely be out of your mind not too! Sarah's joy for baking is inspiring and certainly shows through every bite of her beautiful and delectable treats. It’s only the beginning of an amazing venture for this surfer babe and we are more than excited to see her fulfil all her hopes and dreams.

Getting to know Sarah a little more....

1. What is Bondi Bikkies?
We are a wholesale biscuit company that distributes to cafes not only in Bondi, but all around Australia and soon to be New York City.

2. When did you start your love of baking?

It all started when I was around 12 years old, I would bake biscuits and venture around the local neighborhood selling them.

3. How did you get inspired to create Bondi Bikkies

The whole idea formed from me having a crush on a surfer boy - he loved sweet treats - so I started making him shortbread biscuits with pink strawberry jam. As soon as the other surfer boys found out they all wanted some too – so I started baking more and handing them out. They all loved them so much that they said that I should totally open my own bikkie shop - so I did!

4. How do you spend your spare time??

I surf most mornings before hitting the kitchen to bake. I also provide a catering service and do the occasional event, which is always fun being able to create menu options and recipe ideas. I also really enjoy classical music and sing in my spare time – I've studied music since I was 10 years old and am really inspired by it.

5. What are your influences??

Jamie Oliver, rocks my world he has so much energy. I'm also inspired by anyone who has the courage to follow their dreams. I love to surround myself with people who inspire me to always look beyond the now. High end fashion is something else that influences me, it represents everything I love - quality, art, excellence and beauty.?

6. What are some of your dreams and aspirations for the future of Bondi Bikkies? Well, I’m just about to jump on a plane to NYC to start baking and distributing bikkies over there. I'm also working on a potential super secret deal that may see Bondi Bikkies in London. I just like the idea of travelling around doing what I love! I slowly dream of taking over the world with my bikkies haha.

7. What are you listening to at the moment??

At the moment I'm really into this guy from Iceland called Asgeir – check him out he is amazing. I also love classical singer Maria Bayo.

8. What’s your guilty pleasure?

Home made ice cream with sun-ripened apricots… yuuuummmm?

9. What’s your favourite season?

Spring, because its always so happy and it smells like heaven.?

10. What’s your favourite winter warming biscuit?

This is a hard one, but my personal favorite is the Chocolate oat - especially when it comes straight out of the oven - the chocolate is still warm and it is literally 'melt in your mouth' goodness!
