Element Aus Across the Ditch
The Element Aus team recently flew across the ditch to visit our Kiwi mates for a 10 day trip, long story short they killed it. Here’s a brief half trip lowdown, unfortunately my trip was cut short.
The trip kicked off with the first couple of days in the city streets of Auckland and by night out of Scot Lai's house. A big thanks to him for hosting the team! Scotty Lai’s got a big downstairs area with a bunch of beds and blow up mattresses that made everyone stay super mellow. We were lucky enough to have Julian fly down from the States and also had the pleasure of celebrating his 25th birthday! The boys had a bit of blowout at the casino for it. The start of the trip we had some weather problems with scattered rain and strong winds that made it hard to get in good sessions. We opted to head down the west coast fortunately dodging the weather and hitting a few goods spots on the way. The team stayed at this perfect little batch on the beach of Pukahina, an all time spot. The following morning, we worked our way back up the coast through Mount Maunganui hitting a couple of spots on the way landing back at Scott’s for the night. The following morning, I was on the plane and back over the motherland, leaving the rest of crew to tie up the trip and they certainly did that! Keep your eye’s open and an ear to the ground for some stills and footage from the trip.
