Amy Purdy's extreme dedication goes hand in hand with her ability to continuously work hard and inspire us at the same time. So far, Amy has completed two US Team qualifiers and world NORAM's which has ranked her #1 in the US and #2 in the world.
This week Amy is headed to Russia to test out the Paralympic SnowboardCross Course and from their she is headed to Slovenia for a World Cup!
In the midst of Amy's busy schedule, we had time to catch up with her about her experiences thus far. Amy talked about growing as a person and an athlete saying, "Never stop growing! Training to be an Olympic athlete has been such a learning experience for me. Here I have snowboarded for the past 15-18 years ( half that time with legs and half with prosthetic legs) and at 33 I am growing more then ever! It just goes to show we are never to old to try something new!"
Amy also provided wise words of encouragement saying, "I still have alot to learn before being the top Elite athlete I want to be, but it's always exciting to see that there is room for growth! We all have so much potential and the only way you realize it is by stepping out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself! LIVE LEARN GROW!"
Thank you Amy and we can't wait to see where this path will take you!
