We're stoked to be supporting Element Advocate and long time friend Thomas Campbell for his first show in Byron come Septmeber. Its being held as part of his artist residency with the kind folk at Art Park and is sure to be a rad night.

Thomas Campbell is a true renaissance man; as an Artist, film director, painter, photographer, sculptor, skateboarder, surfer, global traveler, record-label founder, designer, and stuff maker. Thomas is surrounded by a world of hobbies. Campbell, who lives and works out of a tiny, nondescript house in the hippie surftown of Bonny Doon, California, just out side of Santa Cruz.

Growing up in southern California, artist, photographer and filmmaker Thomas Campbell was raised on the DIY aesthetic of the early 1980s skateboarding culture. Photography tips came from like-minded fellow photographers employed in the skateboarding press rather than from school, and art history was a matter of osmosis, not academia.

Slide Your Brains Out compiles work from the past 15 years.
Lo-fi and gritty, other times lush and saturated, Campbell's compositions--which include portraits and action shots of some of the best surfers in the world.
