Beastman is an artist based in Sydney. Influenced by the beauty and symbolism behind nature’s repetitive geometric patterns and organic lines, Beastman's tightly detailed, often symmetrical paintings. These instantly recognisable and loveable deities have spawned from the elements of the earth, as if nature has come to life in a way we could never have imagined.
THE ELEMENT PERSPECTIVE
The Element Perspective brings together creatives from around the world for a visual collective. Sharing a common camera, the Canon AE-1, each person's unique photograph is presented on a tee. The story continues to unfold, as with every installment a new individual is announced, creating a gallery of unique visions and compelling imagery.
ELEMENT ADVOCATE - STEVE GOURLAY
Steve Gourlay spent his earlier years exploring the world as a competitive skateboarder during which time he developed a passion for photography, documenting his peers who were among the worlds best skateboarders. Returning to Australia Steve pursued photography further, studying the traditional principles of film photography and and darkroom printing. Continuing to hone his craft shooting skateboarding and it's personalities, Steve's technical and creative imagery inspired decades of skateboarders both in Australia and overseas.
